Meet the Team

Jade Rice, LMFT (she/her) is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and AAMFT Approved Supervisor in Arizona. She is the Founder of Blooming Clematis Therapy & Consulting and acts as the Practice Clinical Director. She supervises all interns and clinicians at the practice. Jade’s work is grounded in the belief that therapy should be intentional, structured, and goal-oriented. From the beginning of treatment, she collaborates with clients to clarify what meaningful change would look like and develops a focused plan on how each session will works towards achieving these goals. While every client’s timeline is different, Jade does not approach therapy as a “forever” process, she believes significant growth can occur quickly when work is clear, collaborative, and purpose-driven. Client’s that are goal driven and prepared to work actively in and outside of sessions would do well with Jade’s approach. Clinically, Jade specializes in trauma-focused therapy with particular expertise in childhood trauma, sexual abuse, intergenerational trauma, and relational wounds. For treating trauma, she is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and additionally utilizes Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). When working with couples, she utilizes the Gottman approach to provide couples with skills that can be immediately practiced to improve communication and connection. Overall, her therapeutic approach integrates trauma treatment with systemic and relational models. Jade operates with the belief that every client has their own inherent strengths and solutions but may be struggling to apply these effectively to new, shifting, or challenging life experiences. Jade works extensively with young adults, LGBTQIA+ community members, military members and veterans, and young adults navigating questions or challenges with identity and intergenerational dynamics. Jade actively considers how race, culture, gender, sexuality, and systemic inequities impact mental health, relationships, and overall functioning. She prioritizes therapy that is affirming, culturally responsive, and grounded in transparency and clear boundaries. Jade additionally specializes in providing therapy to other therapists and helping professionals. She maintains strong therapeutic structure and role clarity, ensuring that providers who seek therapy are able to step fully into the client role without comparison, over-intellectualization, or blurred professional boundaries. Outside of her clinical work, Jade is actively involved in local nonprofits which support local Marriage and Family Therapists and the LGBTQIA+ community. Jade enjoys changing her hair color from time to time, so don’t be surprised if you arrive and her hair is blue, pink, or another color!

Dulce Segura, LAMFT-T (she/her) is a bilingual Licensed Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (current temporary license) providing trauma-informed, systemic therapy in both Spanish and English. Clinically, Dulce practices from a trauma-informed systemic lens, meaning she views symptoms in context rather than isolation. She is trained in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) as well as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for addressing trauma and will work collaboratively with clients to support them in identifying the most effective approach for their needs. When working with couples, Dulce primarily utilizes Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT) to identify and map unhelpful relational patterns and rebuild emotional connection through healing of attachment wounds. Dulce has strong clinical passion and specialized training in supporting couples navigating differences in cultural background, religion, and family expectations. She understands that intercultural and interfaith relationships often carry both richness and complexity when considering differing values, communication styles, gender roles, and extended family dynamics. Her work helps couples build clarity, mutual respect, and practical skills while honoring each partner’s lived experience and deepening emotional connection with each other. She also specializes in working with second-generation immigrants and bicultural individuals working to balance and honor experiences from multiple cultures. Dulce explores how family-of-origin narratives, cultural expectations, and unspoken survival strategies continue to influence present-day relationships and expression of self. Her approach validates the strength embedded in these histories while gently addressing the wounds that may also be present. Dulce is being actively supervised by Jade Rice, LMFT 15588. Clínicamente, Dulce trabaja desde un enfoque sistémico informado por el trauma, lo que significa que entiende los síntomas dentro de su contexto en lugar de verlos de forma aislada. Ella está capacitada en Terapia de Procesamiento Cognitivo (CPT), así como en Desensibilización y Reprocesamiento por Movimientos Oculares (EMDR) para abordar el trauma, y trabaja de manera colaborativa con sus clientes para identificar el enfoque más eficaz según sus necesidades. Charlene “Charlie” Noriega-Dumont (she/her) is a Marriage and Family Therapy Intern at National University with an estimated graduation date of early 2027. Charlie has a strong passion for serving individuals who balance significant demands across multiple areas of life while navigating internal stress, emotional disconnection, and the weight of chronic responsibility. She is particularly attuned to clients who appear outwardly capable and accomplished but feel overwhelmed, relationally guarded, or disconnected privately. Many of the clients Charlie works with have experienced relational adversity, high expectations, or prolonged stress that required them to become highly adaptive. While these survival strategies often lead to success and stability, they can also contribute to patterns of emotional restriction or numbing, hyper-independence, or difficulty trusting others. Charlie approaches these dynamics with curiosity and respect, helping clients examine how past experiences continue to shape present relationships and internal narratives. Charlie integrates relational perspectives with mindfulness and somatic awareness, recognizing that stress and trauma are held cognitively, emotionally, and physiologically. Charlie supports clients in building insight, reconnecting with their voice, and developing more flexible, sustainable ways of relating to themselves and others. Charlie believes therapy is not about “fixing” people, but about deepening self-understanding, strengthening agency, and creating meaningful change rooted in both context and identity.
